Why this matters

WhatsApp only accepts free-form messages within 24 hoursof your last message to the bot. Outside that window Meta drops anything that isn't an approved template — so a 9am briefing on a morning you haven't written since yesterday never arrives. Register an approved template for a purpose and the bot falls back to it automatically; inside the window it still sends the fuller free-form version.
